Parents bring the kids (1-13 yrs.) uptown for
trick-or-treating at the businesses. The city
holds the neighborhood trick-or-treating on Halloween evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

Join us at our official holiday tree lighting ceremony welcoming in the holiday season. The Holiday Light Parade and 5K Run takes place along Conant Street. Refreshments and Santa visits the Maumee Indoor Theater following the parade for the kids!

Maumee
is home to the beautiful 100-acre Side Cut Metropark. Miles of tree-lined trails winding along the river and through meadow areas provide for a quiet, romantic walk or family hike. Stop in town and pick up lunch for a picnic near the water. You will discover unique wild flowers, plenty of deer, and other water fowl. A wildlife santuary overlooks a wooded ravine and historic locks. A great place to bird watch! Playgrounds, picnic tables, river-side benches and open fields make this the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

15-passenger tram provides weekly nature tours in the summer on Tuesdays. Every spring Side Cut is a destination for fishermen from around the country as walleye swim upriver. The "spring run" is the largest of its kind on the Great Lakes.

Digging a trench, preparing 80 strands of lights and assembling solar panels, MHS students are working with MUBA and local high-tech companies to light the 30-ft. pine tree uptown with solar power. Thanks to First Solar and WFI in Perrysburg and Advanced Distributed Generation for their expertise and support!
